I really liked For Your Eyes Only… I’d put it in my top ten Bonds (probably near number ten but eh) really amazingly grounded Bond movie considering this was both a Roger Moore Bond follow up to the Bond where he was in friggin outer space… and it was an 80s action spy movie… I think if Dalton had begun his tenure here this would have been a much more fondly remembered Bond than most.

I’ve Always Wished SEAN CONNERY Had Stuck Around To Do “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” As I Think That Would Be No Hailed As THE BEST Bond Flick.
I Also Wish TIMOTHY DALTON Had Come In For “A View To A Kill”, As I Think DALTON Squaring-Off Against GRACE JONES And CHRISTOPHER WALKEN Would Have Been Priceless!!! 😀

Agreed… OHMSS is aesthetically and visually my favorite James Bond movie (or at least tied with From Russia With Love) -I reviewed both on my blog ages ago-… just everytime I watch it I have to do my best to not let Lazenby ruin it for me… I read that Dalton was being considered for the role as early as OHMSS though (when he would have been only 25 at the time)… but compared to the amatuer underwear model, I think anything would have been preferable.
