My Morning Mixes: Bourbon, Scotch AND Beer? On A Monday Morning? OKAY!!!

Good Morning, My Peeps.

πŸ™‚

How Goes The Day So Far?

Too Early To Tell, Eh?

That’s What I Was Thinking, Also…

…Even Though My Day Is Already Hours Old.

How’d Ya Sleep?

I Gotcha, I Gotcha.

Me, Also.

It Took Nothing To Fall Asleep…

…And Everything To Stay Asleep.

In The End…

…Staying Asleep Failed, Yet Again.

Oh Well, Right?!

RIGHT!!

πŸ˜€

Well…

…We’re Not Here To Discuss Sleep, Anyway.

Are We?!

We’re Not, Right?!

Ah.

Good.

RIGHT!!

Let’s Talk A Little Music, Then!!

Good Plan, My Peeps, Good Plan!!

πŸ˜‰

WEEELLL…

…Temperature Wise…

…It’s Damn Near PERFECT, Outside.

That’s A VERY Good Thing.

We’ve Had Some Brisk Little Mornings Of Late…

…So Today Was Simply Made For Walkin’!

πŸ™‚

My Morning Mix Began With A Classic.

Which Classic Would That Be?!

GEORGE THOROGOOD & THE DESTROYERS

…And Their Version Of…

ONE BOURBON, ONE SCOTCH, ONE BEER

πŸ˜€

You Know I Like To Get My Walks Going Great…

…And This Morning Was No Different.

So Why Not Kick-It-Off With An 8 1/2 Minute Jam?!

Exactly, My Peeps, Exactly!

Why Not, INDEED!

πŸ˜‰

I Then Slipped Into Some…

…OH YEAH…

ALICE COOPER

…With His Charming Little Ditty…

TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN

πŸ˜€

I Chose That One Because It Makes Me Happy To Do So.

TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN

…Always Makes Me Think Of My Nephew, As He’s A Big Fan Of It, And That Generally Gives Me The Power To Pick-Up My Pace.

πŸ˜‰

I Went For A Double-Dose Of…

DEPECHE MODE

…After That.

I Went Old-School When I Hit-Up…

STORIES OF OLD

…And Then Went Oldest-School ((DEPECHE MODE Wise)) With…

JUST CAN’T GET ENOUGH

πŸ˜€Β Β Β Β Β Β  πŸ˜€

Trust Me, My Peeps, Those Two, Back-To-Back, Are A Wondrous Walking Combination, Fo SHO!

πŸ˜‰

I Decided To Stay In The Same Neighborhood…

…Musically Speaking…

…When I Went For A Little…

ERASURE

…And Their Immortal ((If You’re An ERASURE Fan)) Jam…

VICTIM OF LOVE

πŸ˜€

Let Me Guess…

…You’ve Never Heard The Words ERASURE And IMMORTAL In The Same Sentence?!

I Kinda Figured That One, Kids, I Really REALLY Did.

πŸ˜‰

TOM PETTY

…Was Up Next, As I Wanted To Slow-Down The Pace Just A Touch.

So I Went With…

FREE FALLIN’

πŸ˜€

That One Has Been A Fave-Fave Since Its Initial-Release…

…And Has Yet To Get Old To Me.

That’s What Great Tunage Is Supposed To Do, Right?!

RIGHT!!

πŸ˜‰

I Wanted To Pick-Up The Pace Again, But Not TOO MUCH…

…And I Had The Perfect Song In Mind…

TOO SHY

by KAJAGOOGOO

πŸ˜€

That’s Another Fave-Fave With Major “Lasting-Powers” Fo SHO!

It’s A Song That Always Makes Me Smile…

…And It’s Also A Perfect Walkin’ Jam!!

πŸ˜‰

I Had My Next Jam Already Picked-Out, As I Knew I Wanted To Kick The Pace WAY UP Before I Went Into My Cool-Down/Cruising Mode.

What Was It, You Ask?!

PART-TIME LOVER

…From The Man Himself…

STEVIE WONDER

πŸ˜€

You Must Remember, Kiddies, I’m A Child Of The ’80s…

…And That One Is My All-Time FAVE From Mr. WONDER!!

He’s Had A Ton Of Fantastic Jams…

…But That One Reminds Me Of MY OWN Past, As I Remember When It Was BRAND-NEW!!

πŸ˜‰

Finally…

…It Was Time To Cool-It-Down Before Calling-It-Quits.

I Ended-Up Selecting A Song I Hadn’t Listened To In Quite A While.

It Simply Fit What I Was Wanting To Do So Well.

My Final Jam Of The Morning Mix, Was…

LET IT BE

by THE BEATLES

πŸ˜€

Talk About A GREAT Early Morning Stroll, My Peeps.

GREAT, Indeed.

πŸ˜‰

Have ANY Of YOU Been On A Morning Walk-About?!

I’m Sure SOMEONE Has To Have Done So!

If You Have

Did You Jam-It As You Kicked-About?!

WHAT/WHO DID YOU LISTEN TO?!

I’d Love To Know, Fo SHO Fo SHO!!!

  1. Some great jams as usual, although I must confess, I don’t know the Stevie Wonder song.

As you know, I am a big Erasure fan (seen them nine times, if you can believe that, and actually have a picture standing with Andy Bell–it’s on FB). “Just Can’t Get Enough” is an awesome, old-school DM song, written by Vince Clarke (of Erasure).

There are a couple great live recordings of “JCGE.” The easiest one to find is on 101. I dated a girl who was AT the 101 concert. (I’ve met quite a few people who claim to have been there, but she saved the ticket!).

“Free Fallin'” is such a great song. For my walks, I also listen to “Running Down a Dream” and the sublime, if once-overplayed “I Won’t Back Down,” from that same album.
