“I Had Somebody…
…Somebody Who Loved Me…
…Someone So Good To Me…
…You Were My Angel…
…You Were My Heaven…
…But I Was Too Blind To See…“

Recorded In 1988, “CARELESS HEART” Is One Of The Very Best From ROY ORBISON‘s Final Album, 1989‘s “MYSTERY GIRL” !!!
***
“…I Let You Slip Away…
…I Guess I Never Knew…
…I Had The World With You…
…I’d Be There…
…Still Be There…
…In Your Arms…
…If Not For My…
…CARELESS HEART…
…You’d Still Be Loving Me…
…If Not For My…
…CARELESS HEART…
…You’d Still Be Mine…“

“…I Wouldn’t Have This Hurt Inside…
…I Wouldn’t Have These Tears To Cry…
…If Not For My…
…CARELESS HEART…
…If Not For My…
…CARELESS HEART. …“

Y’all Are Already Well Aware Of My Love For…
ROY ORBISON
…As The Man’s Music Simply Breaks Me Down And Speaks To Me In Such A Profound Way.
This Song…
“CARELESS HEART“
…Is One Of His All-Time Greatest Jams EVER…
…And It Remains One Of His Most Forgotten Classics Among Classics.
The Song Was Recorded By ROY In 1988…
…And Then Posthumously Released In 1989 On The Album…
“MYSTERY GIRL“
…An Album Which ALSO Remains One Of ROY‘s Very VERY Best.
With The Way I’ve Felt Of Late…
…I Sincerely Didn’t Want To Waste The Opportunity To Slip This Little Number Into The Mix.
“CARELESS HEART“
…Is An Amazingly Beautiful Song…
…And It Totally Deserves All The Love AND Praise One Can Muster-Up.
I Was Going To Blog About It The Other Day…
…But I Felt The Need To Wait For It.
Last Night…
…As I Was Listening To It For Like The 15TH, Or 20TH, Or 200TH Time This Week…
…I Decided It Was High-Time To Break-It-Out On Y’all.
Now, YES, I Do Know It’s A Rather Sad/Depressing Song…
…But I’ve Found That Some Of The Greatest Things In Life Can ALSO Be A Touch Sad/Depressing.
When It Comes To ROY, However…
…I Simply Wouldn’t Take Anything For That Man.
He Is/Was PRICELESS.
A True American Treasure.
A True Treasure, Period.
If There’s ANY SONG I Can Recommend To Y’all From The Album…
“MYSTERY GIRL“
…This Would Be The One.
The Whole Album Is VERY Good…
…But This Little Number…
“CARELESS HEART“
…Is An Honest To Goodness TEARJERKER.
Why I Insist Upon This Horrid Practice Of Listening To Sad Songs When I’m Depressed, Or Whatever, I’ll Never Know.
I Think I Must Simply Enjoy Wallowing In My Personal Misery.
Can You Think Of Another Excuse?
SEE!
I Didn’t Think You Would.
HOWEVER…
…I Love And Respect ROY Enough Not To Let A Great Song Become Mired Within My Being Overtly Sensitive Of Late.
It’s Been An Odd Experience For Me, That’s A Big FO SHO.
Being Virtually Emotionless (outwardly speaking) For Such A Long Time…
…This Latest Bout Of OVER-Emotion Is Seriously Screwing With Me.
It’s Not Something I’m Used To, That’s FO DAMN SHO.
And…
…At Times…
…I’ve Struggled MIGHTILY.
Period.
Living Life Isn’t So Easy When You Feel So Out-Of-Sorts…
…Or Out-Of-Control…
…Or Out-Of-Your-Mind.
And Even Though This Song…
“CARELESS HEART“
…Is Such A Tugger Upon My Heartstrings…
…It’s A Song That Remains VERY Special To ME.
Period Period.

ANYWAY, My Peeps…
…Please PLEASE Do Take Care Of Yourselves.
It’s Supposed To Be An Amazingly Comfortable Morning Outside…
…So I’m Not Going To Waste It.
Time For A Long Walk, Kiddies?!
YOU BETCHA!!!
😀

Agreed, Ms. Carolyn. Agreed, Indeed. I Was Only 8yo When He Died, But Even Then I Already Knew About Him. My Father Was A Big Fan, So I Was Raised With Roy Orbison Music, Among So Many Others.
Still, Roy Is My Favorite Solo-Artist EVER.
Like I Said, He’s A True Treasure. It’s A Horrid Shame He Had To Die When He Did :*(

Good old Roy. He could always make me tear up when I hear the song Crying. Geez but it gets to me. And the song Pretty Woman? The way he growls. MERCY. Have a good one Bradley. It’s raining here. But that just means it’s a good day to relax, read, listen to music and nap. 😉
