The Song Stuck In My Head: “I FEEL LOVED” by DEPECHE MODE (2001)

It’s The Dark Night Of My Soul

And Temptation’s Taking Hold

But Through The Pain And The Suffering

Through The Heartache And Trembling

I FEEL LOVED

I FEEL LOVED.

<<<<<<<***>>>>>>>

The SongI FEEL LOVEDIs Yet Another FAVE-Of-FAVES From The 2001 DEPECHE MODE AlbumEXICTER!!!

<<<<<<<***>>>>>>>

As The Darkness Closes In

In My Head I Hear Whispering

Questioning And Beckoning

But I’m Not Taken In

I FEEL LOVED

I FEEL LOVED.

While Out-&-About On My Morning Walk…

…I Listened To Many MANY Quality Jams…

…The Bulk Of Which I’ve Already Discussed With Y’all.

HOWEVER…

…This Song…

I FEEL LOVED

by DEPECHE MODE

…Was The Final Song Of The Walk…

…And The One Song That’s Been On The Ole Brain, Since.

I Knew I Hadn’t Blogged About It…

…And I Felt That Was Doing This Song A Serious Injustice.

I FEEL LOVED

…Is An Exceptional Little Number…

…And One Of My Faves From A Personal Favorite Album…

EXCITER

!!! !!!! !!!

I Sincerely LOVE The Lyrics…

…The Beat Of The Song Is VERY Catchy…

…And It Totally Brings Back Some Fond Memories From My Clubbing Days.

You See, My Peeps…

…The Dance Clubs USED To Allow Patrons To Bring In Some Of Their Music…

…And Getting It Played Only Depended On Your DJ For The Night.

In 2001 AND 2002

…I Would Tote Around The “EXCITER” Album…

…In The Hopes Of Getting One Of Three Songs Played.

DREAM ON

&

THE DEAD OF NIGHT

…Were Two Said Three Songs.

The Third Was…

…Of Course…

I FEEL LOVED

!!! !!!! !!!

Some People May Scoff At The Thought Of Tipping A DJ $10 Just To Play Some Songs.

I…

…On The Other Hand…

…Never Had Any Issues With That Practice.

Whatever Money I Spent On Getting My Tunes Played Was Less Money Being Spent On The Booze-Choice Of The Night.

Trust Me, Kiddies…

…It Was A Totally Acceptable Trade-Off.

πŸ˜‰

ANYWAY

…I Sincerely Hope Y’all Have A Damned Decent FRIDAY, Fo SHO!

Please Take Care…

…Be Good…

…See Me Soon…

…And…

…Talk To Me Sooner!!!

The On Deck Circle

This is my third offering in a sporadic series in which I mix baseball analysis with some of my favorite music artists. Β Let’s call this one β€œThe Blues Edition.” Β (Please ignore any commercials that may appear. Β For β€œFull Screen,” click the icon on the lower, right-hand corner of each video.)

The relationship between the analysis and the songs is tenuous at best, but it amuses me nevertheless (as do bright, shiny objects and fire trucks.)

Here were my offerings for April and May (June somehow slipped by me unnoticed.)

The point of these posts is to create a video-blog of the highlights (and low lights) of the baseball season. Β I’ll leave it to other bloggers to address this season’s stats and stories in a more traditional fashion.

So let’s begin.

Has any PHEENOM ever made such a huge impact in his first full season as Mike Trout has done this…
