I saw Lance Lynn win his only game last season on June 9 when he defeated the Houston Astros 9-2 in his second major league game and start. I was impressed with him then and after he lowered his ERA after that game of 5.23 to 3.12 when he played his last game on August 9. He must have been injured because he didn’t pitch again until October 9, when he pitched in the postseason. He won a game against Milwaukee and Texas for a 2-0 record and 3.27 ERA in postseason play.

I meant to say I saw him pitch in Minute Maid Park in Houston.

Hooray for the return of baseball! Things just seem a little more right this time of year. It could be a very good year for Lynn indeed – always fun to see what a promising kid can do.
