What’s On Right This Second??? “OPEN RANGE” (2003)

Sooooo…

…Was…

DANCES WITH WOLVES

…Honestly THE BEST FILM Directed By…

KEVIN COSTNER

???

Not Really.

What Was???

OPEN RANGE

!!! !!! !!!

I Was An Immediate Fan Of This Flick Upon Its Release In 2003.

The Performances Are True AND Honest…

…As Is The Story Being Told.

THE CLIMAX Of The Film…

…Is An EXCEPTIONAL Shoot-Out…

…That Easily Speaks To The Heart Of ANY True Fan Of The Western Genera.

I’ve Been A Fan Of BOTH…

KEVIN COSTNER

…And…

ROBERT DUVALL

…For The Bulk Of My Lifetime…

…And This Film Is A Feather In The Cap Of BOTH Men.

I Can Easily Recommend It To Y’all…

…As It’s One Of THE BEST WESTERNS Of The 21ST-CENTURY.

.PERIOD.

Happy Viewing, My Peeps.

Happy Viewing, INDEED!!!

  1. I love this film. I disagree that it is better than Dances with Wolves. It is a different kind of western, though. I saw this in the theater when I went to see the live action How the Grinch Stole Christmas and it was sold out. After seeing Grinch, I was glad I saw this instead. lol

    • I Liked “Dances With Wolves” But In Many Ways Found It Rather Boring. I Do Agree, Tho, They’re Like Day And Night When Compared Side-By-Side. I Just Enjoyed “Open Range” So Much More.
And YES, It’s MUCH BETTER Than The Grinch hahahaha

    • This Is In My Top 5 Costner Flicks Ever.
The Only Western He’s Done That I’ve Enjoyed Almost As Much Was Silverado.
I Just Don’t Call That One A Costner Western, As He Wasn’t One Of The Leads.

  3. Dances With Wolves was overrated, in my opinion (conversely, “Waterworld” and “The Postman” were unfairly creamed. I haven’t seen this flick–until this moment, I think I’ve confused it with a made-for-TV (but still very good) Western starring Robert Duvall that came out around that same time.

    • I Didn’t Like “Dances With Wolves At All” As It Was Soooooooo Slllllllllloooooooow. As For “Waterworld” and “The Postman” I Own BOTH And Enjoy BOTH, With “Waterworld” Actually Being One Of My Favorites!!!
RK, I So Feel The Love Right Now!!! hehehe

  4. Interesting! I like both these movies! and also own The Postman (Tom Petty is in that one – hehe) and Waterworld. They had Mr. Brooks (I think that’s what it’s called – on tv last night)….it was hard to see Costner as a serial killer…he has almost stereotyped himself into the ‘hero’ character so much it was hard to watch him be the bad guy (in my humble opinion).
