What More Do I Honestly Have To Say About This TRUE-BLUE-GEM Of A Motion Picture?!? EXACTLY, My Peeps, Not A DAYUM THANG!!! “BLUE THUNDER” Has Been A Film FAVE Of FAVES To Me Since The Very First Time I Had Seen It, June 1983. There Were MANY Helicopters In My Possession, And Somehow, They Were ALL Either “BLUE THUNDER” Or “AIRWOLF” Throughout My Youth. (hehe) 😀

“BLUE THUNDER” Stars ROY SCHEIDER, WARREN OATES, DANIAL STERN, and “The Bad Guy” Is MALCOLM McDOWELL!!! I Know, Right!!! GREAT CAST!!! FUN PLOT!!! NEATO TORPEDO F/X!!! A Regular, All-Around AWESOME OPOSSUM!!! Trust Me, Peeps… If You’re Into Cop Flicks AND Helicopters, This One MAY BE To YOUR Liking!!! You Should Trust Me 😉

–Jim Edmonds canceled his comeback attempt last spring, signing a minor-league contract with the Cardinals and then retiring before reporting to camp.

This time around he’ll be at Cardinals camp, wearing his familiar No. 15, but Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports that Edmonds will be a “special instructor.”

And according to Strauss, if things go well for Edmonds it “might lead to deeper involvement with the organization, possibly in a consultant role to general manager John Mozeliak.”

Strauss also reports that former closer Ryan Franklin has already been hired as a special assistant to the GM and “will advise Mozeliak on personnel and perform regional scouting chores based out of his Oklahoma home.” …–

The 1ST Film…

…Was…

Okay, Here’s My Thinking On This One. The Original Film, “ALIEN“, To Me Was A SCI-FI/HORROR Flick. The Sequel, “ALIENS“, To Me Was A SCI-FI/ACTION/THRILLER Flick. With “ALIEN 3“, However, I Sincerely Felt The Filmmakers Had A Very Special MELDING, If You Will, Of The Previous Two. I Think That’s Partially WHY I’ve Always Enjoyed “ALIEN 3” So So Much. That, And It Was Co-Written AND Co-Produced By WALTER HILL (“THE DRIVER” & “HARD TIMES“) AND At The Helm Was 1ST-Time Director DAVID FINCHER (“SEVEN” & “FIGHT CLUB“). It’s Another Film That Got A Bum-Rep Before It Ever Came Out, And Many Folks Continue To Dismiss It STILL!!! However, I’m Not A Dismissing Type Of Guy, ESPECIALLY When It’s Something I TRULY Love/Enjoy. What Can I Say, I’m Human AND I Have Flaws. DEAL WITH IT, My Peeps!!!

In Regard To “NARC” I Can Easily Say “NARC Was, BY FAR, The BEST FILM Of 2002. PERIOD.” While Everyone Was Clamoring To The Theater To See “THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS” And “CHICAGO” (both of which I saw in the theater, also), “NARC” Was My Honest-To-Goodness, HANDS-DOWN, FAVE Of FAVES That Year. “NARC” Was Written AND Directed By JOE CARNAHAN (who recently wrote/directed “THE GREY“), And Stars RAY LIOTTA (in what should have been an Oscar Nom Performace) And JASON PATRIC (a wonderful actor in his own right). I Simply Love HARDCORE and GRITTY Police Dramas, And “NARC” Delivers The Goods. If It’s Something You Haven’t Seen In The Past DECADE, Or Have NEVER Seen It At All, I Can VERY EASILY Recommend It To Y’all. You WON’T Be Sorry You Saw THIS FLICK!!!
